SOCIAL ETHICS ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Union Theological Seminary seeks applicants for a tenure- track position in Social Ethics at the rank of assistant professor.

The position provides opportunities for teaching a range of required and elective courses in the M.Div. and M.A. curriculum as well as doctoral level courses and advisement of students.

Requirements:

A Ph.D. degree in Ethics with demonstrated competence in personal or social ethics. A specialized focus on sexual ethics, and ethical issues in LGTBQ studies is key to this position and the applicant must show teaching experience in this area.
A demonstrated competence for excellence in teaching, significant scholarly research, and publication.
Willingness to participate collaboratively and creatively with colleagues across disciplines to support the seminary’s commitment to ministerial formation.
