The Queer Caucus is an educational and social caucus for lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual, gender variant, queer, questioning, students, faculty, and staff and our allies at Union Theological Seminary. The Queer Caucus exists as a supportive body at UTS for queer-identified people of all ethnic, cultural, socio-political and faith backgrounds and as a voice for queer issues and concerns in the classroom, at student senate meetings, faculty meetings, UTS board meetings, and in UTS housing.
This year, the Queer Caucus will be hosting chapel services, educational panels, social events, and meetings with queer ministers and allies alike, in hopes to better serve the needs of our whole community. We connect with queer Union alums for various events, support, and conversation. We are supported the queer Union Board Members as we create concrete goals for our future. We utilize Union's Chaplains for spiritual direction, chapel services, and conversation.
The Queer Caucus also has a confidential email list for students, where issues specific to our various communities can be addressed. Only the co-chairs have access to the names and contact information on this list and the list is never made public.
