Research Interests
Adam’s dissertation focuses on the confluence of Christian baptism, water politics, empire, ecocide, and our climate emergency. His broader interests include liturgical theology, ecotheology, public church and theology, Christian socialism, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

Background and Activities:
Adam grew up in small-town Nebraska and has six Lutheran pastors in his family. He’s a proud father and spouse. He serves as Church Council Vice President at Trinity Lutheran Church of Manhattan and is increasingly involved with the Institute for Christian Socialism.
