Join us for an engaging event featuring Gil Anidjar, a distinguished professor from Columbia University, teaching at the Departments of Religion and the Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies (MESAAS). We will be discussing Professor Anidjar last book On the Sovereignty of Mothers: The Political as Maternal (Columbia, 2024). He is also the author, among other books, of The Jew, the Arab: A History of the Enemy (Stanford, 2003), and Blood: A Critique of Christianity (Columbia, 2014). He is currently working on a manuscript entitled Sparta and Gaza: The Tradition of Destruction.’
This event, moderated by Rev. Andrea C. White, Ph.D., will feature a panel discussion with a Q&A session afterwards featuring some of our distinguished colleagues:
