biography
William Eric Waters, who also writes under the pen name Easy Waters, is an award-winning poet, playwright, and essayist. He is the author of three books of poetry, “Black Shadows and Through the White Looking Glass: Remembrance of Things Past and Present” (An Edwin Mellen Poetry Prize Co-winner); “Sometimes Blue Knights Wear Black Hats” (A National Poetry Series Finalist); and “The Black Feminine Mystique” (A Naomi Long Madgett Poetry Award Finalist); and a novel, “Streets of Rage,” written under his pen name. He has a master’s degree from New York Theological Seminary and bachelors’ degrees from the University of Albany and the College at New Paltz. He has worked as a nonprofit manager for the past 20 years.
