The Very Rev. Kelly Brown Douglas, Dean of Episcopal Divinity School @ Union will be helping to lead “Awake and In Motion: Celebrating 50 Years of MLK” at the Washington National Cathedral.

In his final Sunday sermon, preached at Washington National Cathedral 50 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, preached on “Remaining Awake Through a Great Revolution.” Through excerpts from Dr. King’s sermon, echoed in song, prayer, movement and dance, we urge our community today to stay awake and in motion in service of the Dream.

Sponsored by Advancement Project, Howard University, The Episcopal Church, and Washington National Cathedral.

Doors open at 3:30, music begins at 3:45.
