Community Coffee Chat with Callie Janoff ’12
Union’s Office of Alumni/ae Relations invites you for a community coffee chat at Swallow Café on January 11, 2019, from1:00 -2:30 pm. These informal gatherings will feature students, alums and/or faculty members who will share insights into their field of study, expertise, and life on campus. Union will purchase your refreshments.
This coffee chat will feature Callie Janoff ’12. Callie is Director of the Aging Resources Consultation and Help (ARCH) program of the New York Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). “The ARCH program is an innovative approach to faith-based pastoral care for aging members of our communities,” Callie says. “We offer training for volunteer Visitors. These trainings help Visitors identify aging-related concerns and the needs of caregivers, in active listening, access aging and disability-related community and government resources and programs, maintain healthy boundaries and self-care, assist others in end-of-life planning, and navigate grief and loss.
