Got Sermon?, Union’s lectionary study series, bringing the talents of our faculty to our alumni/ae, students, and neighbors who “pastor” church congregations.
This semester, please join us for Preparing for Advent with Dr. Lisa Thompson, Assistant Professor of Homiletics. Opening worship led by Cláudio Carvalhaes, Associate Professor of Worship. Schedule and workshop topics listed below.
If you are already registered for Got Sermon? :
- For the 3:30 peer coaching groups, you will simply need a draft of a sermon to share with other individuals in your group—a sermon you wish to revisit and improve, or a working idea for an upcoming sermon We are envisioning groups of 4 for this process.
- For the Workshop choices at 1 pm (Group 1, 2, or 3), if you could email Emily Odom (eodom@uts.columbia.edu) advance which workshop you are most likely to attend, that will allow us to assign appropriate breakout spaces. We may also give your names to each workshop leader in advance of the session.
