Trailblazers 2018 | Honoring and Celebrating Union’s Black Alumni/ae

Trailblazers 2018 celebrates the 25th anniversary of the publication of the groundbreaking work, Sisters in the Wilderness, by Delores Williams’, Paul Tillich, Professor Emerita of Theology and Culture, with four Friday evening worship services. Below is a list of dates and featured preachers.

Friday, February 23: Rev. Dr. Emma Jordan Simpson and Minister Candace Simpson

Worship services will begin at 7:00 p.m. No RSVP is required.

About Rev. Brenda D. Ford
With broad experience in prevention and Intervention as well as social justice consultation, Rev. Ford is a trained trauma therapist, chaplain, and pastor, who currently serves as CEO/Pastoral Care Practitioner for Brenda D. Ford Ministries. She is also active as an independent trainer, coach, and speaker, while also serving as Correctional Chaplain/Community Manager for the Long Island Council of Churches in Nassau County. Rev. Ford earned her M.Div. from Union in 2008, after which she received a pastoral appointment in June to serve Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church in Smithtown, New York. Beginning in 2008, she also served for nine years as a consultant for the Parish Resource Center in Valley Stream, New York.
