Trailblazers 2018 | Honoring and Celebrating Union’s Black Alumni/ae

Trailblazers 2018 celebrates the 25th anniversary of the publication of the groundbreaking work, Sisters in the Wilderness, by Delores Williams’, Paul Tillich, Professor Emerita of Theology and Culture, with four Friday evening worship services. Below is a list of dates and featured preachers.

Friday, February 23: Rev. Dr. Emma Jordan Simpson and Minister Candace Simpson

Worship services will begin at 7:00 p.m. No RSVP is required.

About Ms. Onleilove Alston
Onleilove (pronounced Onlylove) Chika Alston, Founder of Prophetic Whirlwind: Uncovering the Black Biblical Destiny, was born and raised in East New York, Brooklyn.  Onleilove is also a minister, community organizer, and writer.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a minor in African-American studies from Penn State University, she completed a year of service with AmeriCorps Public Allies New York. In 2011, she received her Master of Divinity and Master of Social Work degrees from Union Theological Seminary and Columbia University School of Social Work, respectively. (Full Bio)
