Trailblazers 2019 Preaching Series Shades of Black: Empowering Voices of Liberation will celebrate and reflect on the prophetic life and ministry of The Rev. Dr. James H. Cone, and the liberative theologies his scholarship and teaching helped birth. Rev. Kymberley Clemons-Jones ’05 will talk about trauma and hope for faith leaders and social justice advocates.

Rev Kymberley Clemons-Jones, affectionately known as Rev. KC, is a Connecticut native, a wife, mother, preacher, author, advocate, and coach.

KC’s life has always been dedicated to helping women and youth see themselves as the Creator sees them; as praise-worthy. She weaves her passions for ministry, coaching, and advocacy to help women and children reach their highest potential by helping them align with Spirit and their true selves.

She is a graduate of Rutgers University, Hunter College, and Union Theological Seminary where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling, and a Master of Divinity Degree. Rev. KC will begin doctoral work at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in January 2019.

Rev. KC currently serves as Pastor of Valley Stream Presbyterian Church in Valley Stream, New York. She is a loving and nurturing pastor to both her parishioners and to those who have come to work under her leadership in ministry.
