New York Times: Retirees Find Renewed Purpose Through the ‘Encore Transition Program’

In January 2017, Union launched the Encore Transition Program, a semester-long curriculum designed for retirees and non-traditional students eager to make a change for the better in their lives, and in the world. Recent Encore graduate, Onita Estes-Hicks, 80, spoke with the New York Times’ Helen Stapinski, about how the program has given her the opportunity to contemplate her past and—perhaps just as important—her future.
