Dr. Gabby Cudjoe Wilkes

Director of The Technology, Innovation & Digital Engagement Lab (TIDEL) Fellowship.

Dr. Gabby Cudjoe Wilkes is the Director of The Technology Innovation & Digital Engagement Lab (TIDEL) Fellowship, housed at Union Theological Seminary. Dr. Gabby is a pastor, leader, innovation strategist and author. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Essence & The New York Times. She holds a doctorate from Duke University, a Masters of Divinity from Yale University, a Masters of Arts from NYU and a Bachelors of Arts from Hampton University. She is the President of the Yale Divinity School Alumni Board and a member of the Morehouse College MLK Board of Preachers. Dr. Gabby is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and is committed to the work of love and justice. She is the author of the best-selling text, Psalms for Black Lives.

Mentor, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Engagement Lab (TIDEL)

An AI alignment researcher and values-based design advocate, Jordan teaches AI Ethics and Policy at Queen’s University and co-founded the AI Alt Lab, which works with governments, startups, and health organizations on ethical data practices.

At Union, he serves as a mentor to our Ethical Technology and Digital Anxiety Cohort, guiding fellows as they explore the moral and social implications of technology in our time.

Renaldo M. Pearson, ACNP

Mentor at the Technology, Innovation, and Digital Engagement Lab (TIDEL)

A seasoned nonprofit executive and consultant (Advanced Certified Nonprofit Professional) with more than a decade of experience leading capital campaigns and strategic initiatives, Renaldo brings deep expertise at the intersection of faith, advocacy, and social impact.

At Union, he mentors TIDEL fellows working on how technology can strengthen fundraising and development capacity to advance mission-driven change.

Dr. Heidi A. Campbell

Coach at the Technology, Innovation, and Digital Engagement Lab (TIDEL)

Heidi A. Campbell is Professor of Communication and affiliate faculty in Religious Studies at Texas A&M University, where she also serves as a Presidential Impact Fellow. She is Director of the Network for New Media, Religion, and Digital Culture Studies and is widely recognized as a founder of Digital Religion studies. She is the author of numerous books and articles, including When Religion Meets New Media, Digital Religion (2nd ed.), and Digital Creatives and the Rethinking of Religious Authority.

At Union, she serves as a coach, working closely with Fellows to help them thoughtfully examine and apply insights into digital innovation in ministry, learning, and leadership.

David Gastwirth

VP for Online Education and Learning Innovation at Union Theological Seminary

David Gastwirth is Union Theological Seminary’s Vice President of Online Education and Learning Innovation. He is responsible for crafting the vision for online learning, and leading and facilitating the creation, design and delivery of new online and hybrid educational programs. He also provides leadership and ongoing support in the use of learning technology. Gastwirth holds an M.P.A. from the University of Southern California, an Ed.M. in Higher Education from Harvard University, and a B.A. from Duke University.
