Brunch with D.C. Area Union Alums and Friends

We will share fellowship, highlights of our current ministries, and resources. Please feel free to bring handouts.

Gay Byron, ’92, ’99, and 2015 Unitas Distinguished Alumni/ae Award recipient, will offer remarks about her recent volume, Womanist Interpretations of the Bible: Expanding the Discourse. The Rev. Dr. Byron is Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at Howard University School of Divinity and served until recently as the school’s Academic Dean.

Emily Odom, Union’s current Director of Alumni/ae Relations, and Martin Duus, Union’s Vice President for Development, will bring news from Union, including an update on the new building project, projected campus-wide renovations, and Union’s affiliation with the Episcopal Divinity School (EDS at Union).
