Union Theological Seminary stands as a beacon of collaboration and community engagement, extending far beyond our historic campus in the heart of New York City. We are dedicated to forging and nurturing partnerships that offer tangible benefits and opportunities for our students, faculty, and community members. Current Partnerships
Columbia University
Union Theological Seminary is an independent graduate school in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of the City of New York. Union is financially independent from Columbia University and has a long-standing partnership with Columbia that allows students the unique opportunity to be part of a larger university community while being deeply immersed in the distinct intellectual and spiritual life of a seminary. Union and Columbia share an MDiv/MSSW dual degree program with the Columbia University School of Social Work and cross-registration with Columbia’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and School of International and Public Affairs. The Burke Library at Union is part of the Columbia Libraries system. Union students can access physical and virtual resources, such as library services from Columbia Libraries, health services from Columbia Health, Dodge Fitness Center, and a wide array of student and University programming and other benefits.
