Preaching and the Next Great Awakening

Join with Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill Union alums on Saturday, September 29, at 12:30 p.m., to meet Dr. Gary Dorrien ‘78, Reinhold Niebuhr Professor of Social Ethics, and to hear his address titled “Preaching and the Next Great Awakening” at the Leonard Building, Lewis Lecture Hall, at Shaw University Divinity School in Raleigh.

Dr. Dorrien will be delivering his lecture as part of an ongoing series organized by the Rev. Dr. James A. Forbes, Jr. ’62, Union’s Harry Emerson Fosdick Distinguished Professor Emeritus, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King.

Following the lecture, there will be an opportunity for alums to gather for a photo with Dr. Dorrien and Dr. Forbes.

The Fall 2018 lectures are free and open to the public. For information on this and other upcoming lectures in the series and/or to register, click here.

Parking is available at the rear of the building, on the main campus of Shaw University, or across from the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
